Our project introduces a healthcare management solution feature that redefines the way doctors and patients interact, communicate, and follow up on postoperative care. This innovative platform comprises a range of user-centric features aimed at simplifying the complexities of the healthcare journey.
Overview
The scope of work
I developed the product through the following five phases
Solutions
I propose to design a user-centric healthcare SaaS platform that integrates patient timelines and doctor inputs to streamline postoperative care and improve healthcare management.
✅ Efficiency
It enhances workflow efficiency for healthcare professionals by simplifying data input and management.
✅ Centralized platform
Designed to offer a unified interface where doctors and patients can access the same healthcare data tailored to their specific needs.
✅ Communicative interactive
The platform promotes effective communication and follow-ups and coordination between doctors and patients, ensuring a seamless healthcare experience.

Understand & Define
Initial Challenge
Interview & Survey
The initial challenge of this project is to enhance a healthcare SaaS platform to enable effortless information handling, and simplify the discharge planning process
Before solving the problem, I first deep dive into the damain knowledge, and try to figure out some questions…
To better answer the questions and figure out the results.
I conducted both primary research, including surveys and interviews with healthcare professionals and patients, and secondary research, analyzing existing literature and industry data, to gather comprehensive insights and inform the project's strategy.
Who are our users?
Healthcare Professionals (Doctors): These users are trained medical professionals responsible for providing patient care and treatment.
What are the existing problem?
Patients: Patients are individuals receiving medical care, including postoperative recovery and rehabilitation.
What are our users’ main needs and goals?
What’s the task?

02.
Centralized Platform
scenario
In the current setup, doctors are tasked with creating and managing complex medical notes, prescriptions, and appointment details. These tasks involve filling out various forms and documents, which can be time-consuming and spread across different systems. Patients receive these documents, which can be equally complex, and both doctors and patients face challenges in managing and interpreting this same information.
How to build a centralized platform beneficial for both sides?
Tailoring to Different Needs
Based on different user needs and goals, the solution is designed to cater to the distinct needs of both doctors and patients.
it offers an efficient input system, simplifying documentation.
How to improve efficiency
Design decision 1 Sequential Information Flow
I proposed 2 different design options to present the information.
The modular layout has been replaced with a streamlined, top-to-bottom sequential arrangement.
This ensures that information flows logically, allowing doctors to easily navigate and access patient data from admission to discharge.
Design decision 2 Inline Input
I proposed 2 different design options to present the information.
The UI now employs inline input fields, which enable doctors to make edits and updates directly within the dashboard, eliminating the need for pop-up edit dialogs.
This seamless integration simplifies data input, reduces context switching, and enhances the overall workflow efficiency.
How to be communicative and interactive?
Design decision 1 Proactive Slot Booking
Appointment Booking Simplification
Advance Slot Booking
Notification Engine
it provides a clear and user-friendly timeline, making it easier to follow their care plans.
